1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small files that may be stored on your device when you visit a website.
Cookies and similar technologies can be used to make a website function, remember preferences, maintain a shopping basket, understand how visitors use a website and support analytics and advertising.
Similar technologies may include pixels, tags, scripts and other technologies that store or access information on your device.
2. How BODOSOM Uses Cookies
BODOSOM may use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
Strictly Necessary
These technologies are necessary for the website and online shop to function correctly.
They may be used for purposes including:
- maintaining your shopping basket;
- enabling checkout;
- processing orders;
- maintaining website security;
- remembering essential session information; and
- supporting customer account functionality.
Because these technologies are necessary to provide services you request, they may not require your consent.
Analytics
With your permission, we may use analytics technologies to understand how visitors interact with bodosom.com.
This may include information about pages visited, interactions with the website, devices and browsers used, and general website performance.
BODOSOM may use Google Analytics for these purposes.
Where consent is required, these technologies will not be activated until you have made the relevant choice through our cookie consent system.
Advertising and Marketing
With your permission, BODOSOM may use advertising and marketing technologies, including Meta technologies, to understand the effectiveness of advertising and support relevant advertising activities.
These technologies may involve cookies, pixels or similar technologies.
Where consent is required, advertising and marketing technologies will not be activated until you have made the relevant choice through our cookie consent system.
The ICO’s current guidance states that storage/access technologies used for online advertising require consent. Information Commissioner’s Office
Functional Technologies
We may use technologies that provide additional functionality or remember choices you make on the website.
Where these technologies are not strictly necessary and consent is legally required, they will only be activated after you have made the relevant choice.
3. Third-Party Services
Depending on the services active on bodosom.com, cookies and similar technologies may be provided by third parties, including:
- Google, for analytics services;
- Meta, for advertising and marketing technologies;
- WooCommerce, for ecommerce functionality;
- Stripe and PayPal, for payment functionality; and
- Hostinger and other technology providers involved in operating the website.
Third-party providers may process information in accordance with their own privacy and cookie policies.
4. Your Choices
When you first visit bodosom.com, you may be presented with choices concerning non-essential cookies and similar technologies.
You can choose whether to allow these technologies according to the options provided.
Strictly necessary technologies may operate without consent where legally permitted because they are required for the website or a service you have requested to function.
Non-essential technologies requiring consent will not be activated until the appropriate choice has been made.
5. Changing Your Preferences
You can change or withdraw your choices concerning non-essential cookies at any time using the Cookie Settings or Manage Cookies option available on bodosom.com.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.
6. How Long Cookies Last
Some cookies exist only for the duration of your browsing session and are deleted when you close your browser.
Others may remain on your device for a defined period.
The duration depends on the purpose of the technology and the provider responsible for it.
Where available, more detailed information about individual technologies and their duration can be provided through our cookie consent system.
7. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when the technologies used by bodosom.com change or where necessary to reflect legal or regulatory requirements.
The latest version will be published on bodosom.com with the updated revision date.

COOKIE BANNER
For the first banner visitors see, I would keep the language much shorter than the policy:
Cookies at BODOSOM
We use necessary cookies to make our website and shop work. With your permission, we also use analytics and advertising technologies to understand how our website is used and measure our marketing.
You can accept, reject or manage your preferences at any time.
Buttons:
Accept All
Reject Non-Essential
Manage Preferences
The important part isn’t only the wording. Your consent plugin needs to actually block non-essential technologies until the appropriate choice has been made. The ICO says consent must involve a genuine positive action, and simply continuing to browse isn’t sufficient consent. Information Commissioner’s Office
MANAGE PREFERENCES
Inside the Manage Preferences panel, I’d use:
Strictly Necessary — Always Active
These technologies are required for essential website functions including shopping basket, checkout, security and account functionality. They cannot be switched off through our cookie settings where they are strictly necessary.
Analytics — Optional
Analytics technologies help us understand how visitors use BODOSOM so we can measure and improve the website.
Toggle: Off by default
Advertising & Marketing — Optional
Advertising and marketing technologies help us measure campaigns and support BODOSOM advertising on other platforms.
Toggle: Off by default
Functional — Optional
These technologies provide additional website features or remember choices that are not strictly necessary for the website to function.
Toggle: Off by default
Buttons:
Save Preferences
Accept All
Reject Non-Essential
The ICO says consent mechanisms should generally provide granular choices by purpose, and users need meaningful control over non-essential technologies. Information Commissioner’s Office
One important thing before you publish this
Don’t manually create a list claiming specific cookie names such as _ga, _fbp, etc. yet. Your WordPress setup should first be scanned/audited to see exactly which cookies, pixels, scripts and tags BODOSOM.com actually sets, because plugins can add technologies without it being obvious. The ICO specifically recommends auditing the technologies being used, their purposes, whether they’re first- or third-party, how long they last, and whether they’re strictly necessary.
